Srinagar (KNO) : Dukhtaran-e-Millat on Sunday lambasted the puppet authorities and its police for re-arresting party chairperson, Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi, party general secretary, Nahida Nasreen and press secretary, Sofi Fehmeeda, who were released on bail on Saturday.

In a statement, DeM spokesperson Rifat Fatima said that the trio were released on bail by the court but instead of releasing them, they were taken to Soura police station and later on shifted to the Rambagh police station. Rifat said that the detention is illegal and no information about the fresh detention has been provided to the family members or the party by the police. “Jammu and Kashmir is under Jungle Raj as it has been turned into a police state. India and its puppet government in JK must understand that such tactics have not and can never force us from resisting against this illegal occupation,” she added.

She said that India has illegally occupied Kashmir and the resistance will continue until people are given the right to determine their own future. Rifat said that the illegal detention and denial of medical facilities has taken a huge toll on the health of Andrabi Sahiba as she was already suffering from multiple ailments. “This puppet government can cage the physical being of Baaji Sahiba but can never cage her ideology,” she said. She also appealed people to pray for the recovery of the Andrabi Sahiba whose health is deteriorating with each passing day.
